Friday, October 24, 2008  6:15 pm.      Shabbat b’Yahad (Shabbat together) services

The third Shabbat of each month features our unique and spirited Friday night service with a delicious catered communal dinner afterwards. Meal IKARds (reservations) must be made in advance.

Saturday, October 25, 2008 9:15 am.    Community Learning Shabbat.

This is a more intimate service in which IKAR offers a morning of community learning and davening.

The general structure of the morning goes like this:

9:15am - 11:15am: Adults join an intimate minyan, take an all level Hatha yoga class, or participate in informal discussion groups.

11:15am - 12:00pm: The community will join together for a text study with Scholar in Residence Rabbi Shefa Gold

12:00pm: Kiddush lunch.

All services are held at the Westside JCC, which is located at 5870 W. Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
